Highland Dance Tunes

I have put together a list of tunes and arrangements that are typically played here in Colorado for the Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers. These are basic guidelines and individual pipers may have different settings or tunes. Always remember to work with the dancers to insure your sets or tunes will work for them.

You can download the PDF and BWW files at:

Hope this helps!
Cheers

Remember not to play for dancers if you have not mastered the tunes and play them perfectly without thinking.

Piper to the End

The first time I heard the song " Piper to the End" by Mark Knoplfer, I kept hearing the bagpipes playing in the tune and thought it would be a nice finish at the end to have real pipes playing. Since there was actually no bagpipes in the tune I thought I would make a setting for the Highland Bagpipes. Hope you enjoy it. The Mp3 is just my program playing the tune. I will try and record the live bagpipes soon and post it. http://www.coloradopipers.com/pipertotheend
